INSPIRE: Chalk It Up!

Due to the fact that it is back to school season, I thought it would be the appropriate time to share chalkboard inspirations. Ever since chalkboard paint became available in craft and hardware stores everywhere, I have been obsessed! I re-painted my office desk, drawing easel, tables, placemats, napkin rings and other party decor to resemble chalkboards. If you would like to see one example of how I used chalkboard paint, it is located at the very bottom of this post.

The chalkboard "look" can be achieved in many ways by using products such as a vinyl decal, label sticker, spray paint, brush on paint, craft paint, marker, powder, fabric, ink or contact paper. There is also a DIY tutorial about how to make chalkboard paint. Plus instead of traditional black, you can also choose from a variety of color tints. Below is a collection of chalkboard inspired ideas that could easily be incorporated into any special occasion. Leave a comment to tell everyone how you like to Chalk It Up!
